In a harvest or autumn celebration we begin a season of giving thanks to the Lord for all His many blessings. The crops taken in after a summer's growth are a reward for hard work and patient persistence in doing what needs to be done.

As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual, if we do not give up. Prepare the soil, sow the seed, water the crops, work at the weeds, and get ready for a good harvest. God is faithful. There may be seasons when storms or lack of water rob us of a perfect harvest. But the Lord will make up or losses in good time and the blessings will become evident again.
