There is one God and one Mediator between God and all humanity: the Man Christ Jesus.  So wrote Paul the apostle to a young man named Timothy (1 Timothy 2:5), and so it is.  There is not a different God for different races or for different ages or classes of people.  In Christ Jesus we are all made into one family: the family of the living God.

This is so wonderfully evident in young Christian believers who are fully alive with the joy and excitement of Jesus Christ.  They see the needs of all the people around them, and the need for Christ in all people everywhere.  They pray with an honest fire in their hearts for their closest friends and neighbors, and they pray with the same fervor for people in far away lands.  They still know that God is able to do anything.

Nothing is so invigorating as a group of young Christian believers.  Their faith is not threatened by their youth.  If anything, it is set free.  Older folks (such as myself) too often see all the obstacles while young followers of Jesus see only the great needs of humankind and the infinite power of God to meet those needs. 

Thank God for the young of heart and soul.  Thank God for those whose hearts are set on Christ alone.  Thank God for young men and women who believe and obey the call of God.
