Clip Art Image: Yes, Virginia, We
Christians do Celebrate the Birth of Jesus!

This PNG image has a transparent background. |
We
Christians have many things to celebrate. We celebrate the
grace of God in the sacrificial gift of His own Son. We
celebrate the virgin birth of Jesus Christ into this world. We
celebrate the sinless life of Jesus and His holy teachings during
His days on earth. We celebrate His willingness to suffer and
die on a Roman cross for the sins of the whole world. We
celebrate the glorious resurrection of Jesus and His perfect triumph
over death and the grave. We celebrate His soon return for His
Bride, the Church.
When
Christians gather, we often sing songs of praise to God. We
praise God for all of His kindness toward lost sinners. We
rejoice and sing hymns and recite psalms. We use music and
skits and the telling of stories to remind ourselves of all the
ancient promises of God that were and still are fulfilled in Jesus
Christ, the Messiah of God.
Christians do not all celebrate the birth of Jesus in the same ways
or even on the same days. But all who love the Lord are
grateful for the Word who became flesh for our sakes. We pass
along the stories of Jesus and of all that God has done for us in
Him. And we do not forget the grace of God that saves us.
